Breast Augmentation
Breast Augmentation is a surgical procedure done to enhance the volume, shape, and projection of your breasts. The procedure is also used to give symmetry to breasts of unequal size or shape and involves the use of implants to achieve your desire for fuller breasts or to restore lost breast volume.
Choosing the Right Implants
The first step to choosing the right implant is to talk to your surgeon about your options. There are a lot of factors that go into making this choice – including your breast anatomy, skin elasticity, body type, and expectations – so it’s best to talk with an expert. Ultimately, discussing what’s best for your body will lead to the safest and healthiest way to give you the results you’ve always wanted.
Our Two FDA-Approved Breast Implant Options
We only use the two FDA-approved breast implants: saline and silicone. Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water. They are inserted empty and then filled once in place. The amount of saline used to fill the implant determines the shape, firmness, and feel. If a leak occurs, the implant will collapse and the saline will be absorbed and eliminated naturally by the body.
Silicone Implants are filled with an elastic gel which gives you the feel and movement most similar to natural breasts. These implants are inserted and placed while full. If a leak occurs, the silicone implant will not collapse and the gel may remain within the implant wall or escape into the breast implant pocket.
