General Surgeon Dr. Kristina Gaunt in Muskegon is a board-certified surgeon with over 11 years of experience. Since joining Muskegon Surgical Associates in 2017, she has built a reputation for compassionate, advanced surgical care. Dr. Gaunt specializes in general surgery, breast surgery, colorectal surgery, and minimally invasive procedures. She focuses on improving patient outcomes through education and teamwork.
Dr. Gaunt earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2012. She completed her general surgery residency at Central Iowa Health Systems in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2017. Afterward, she began her private practice career with Muskegon Surgical Associates. Although she is originally from central Illinois, Dr. Gaunt and her husband Jeff now call Michigan home, where they raise their three active sons.

As co-director of the Trinity Health Muskegon Comprehensive Breast Center, Dr. Gaunt specializes in breast cancer care. She works closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized treatment plans.
