Gregory Myers, MD
Dr. Gregory Myers is a highly experienced, board-certified general surgeon who has been providing advanced surgical care to patients throughout the Muskegon community since 1997. With more than 25 years of surgical experience, he specializes in general surgery, trauma surgery, robotic-assisted procedures, and surgical endoscopy.
Known for his calm, professional approach and commitment to excellence, Dr. Myers combines advanced surgical techniques with compassionate, patient-centered care. His extensive training and experience allow him to deliver effective treatment while helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their surgical journey.
Education & Training
Dr. Myers earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York City in 1990. He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1996.
Following residency, Dr. Myers pursued advanced colorectal surgery training as a Senior Registrar at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in the United Kingdom. He further expanded his expertise through a Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery Clinical Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and completed advanced Da Vinci Robotic Surgery training through Intuitive Surgical.
Expertise in Advanced Surgical Techniques
Dr. Myers is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He also maintains certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), reflecting his expertise in emergency and trauma-related surgical care.
His advanced training in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery allows many patients to benefit from smaller incisions, reduced pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery times.
