We are proud to work with a 5 star facility.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article__body\">\n<div class=\"article__entry\">\n<p><strong>The 293 hospitals with 5 stars from CMS<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-meta\">\n<p><span class=\"email\">CMS updated its Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings in February, recognizing 293 hospitals with five stars.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>CMS\u2019 Hospital Compare website reports on quality measures for more than 4,500 hospitals nationwide. Here is a breakdown of the updated star ratings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One star: 282 hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Two stars: 800 hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Three stars: 1,264 hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Four stars: 1,086 hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Five stars: 293 hospitals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new star ratings come eight months after CMS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beckershospitalreview.com\/rankings-and-ratings\/cms-postpones-july-hospital-star-ratings-update.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">postponed<\/a> its July 2018 update for the second consecutive year due to methodology changes. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qualitynet.org\/dcs\/ContentServer?c=Page&amp;pagename=QnetPublic\/Page\/QnetTier3&amp;cid=1228775962170\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">updated methodology<\/a> includes removal of measures with statistically negative loadings and a change to how hospital-acquired infection measures are calculated.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a listing of CMS\u2019 five-star hospitals for February, broken down by state, as listed on the Hospital Compare website.
