{"id":1818,"date":"2021-12-20T22:00:28","date_gmt":"2021-12-20T22:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/msapc.com\/plastic-surgery\/?page_id=1818"},"modified":"2022-03-24T18:00:34","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T18:00:34","slug":"preparing-for-surgery","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/msapc.com\/plastic-surgery\/pure-surgical-center\/preparing-for-surgery\/","title":{"rendered":"Preparing for Surgery"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Pre-op instructions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Stop Aspirin and\/or blood thinners <strong>one week prior<\/strong> to your procedure.<\/li>\n<li>Do not shave near the surgical area for <strong>one week prior<\/strong> to surgery.<\/li>\n<li>Wash your skin with chlorhexidine gluconate skin cleanser (for example, Hibiclens) the night prior to and the morning of your procedure. Use only from the neck down.<\/li>\n<li>No eating or drinking for eight (8) hours prior to the procedure.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t use a body lotion or moisturizer after bathing or showering.<\/li>\n<li>Do not wear hairspray, perfume, makeup, or nail polish.<\/li>\n<li>Do not wear contact lenses.<\/li>\n<li>Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Tops with zippers are recommended.<\/li>\n<li>Do not wear or bring any jewelry, including wedding rings or piercings.<\/li>\n<li>Do not bring large amounts of cash or other valuables.<\/li>\n<li>Bring your eyeglass case and hearing aid case, if applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange transportation home with a friend or family member after your procedure, as you will not be able to take a taxi alone, use public transportation alone, or drive.<\/li>\n<li>Your surgeon will direct you as to which of your home medications need to be taken.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any questions or concerns prior to your surgery, please contact Muskegon Surgical Associates at <a href=\"tel:+12317391933\">231-739-1933<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pre-op instructions Stop Aspirin and\/or blood thinners one week prior to your procedure.
