Just as importantly, robotic surgery can take the place of procedures that traditionally involved large incisions, which are usually associated with more pain and longer recovery.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Meet the da Vinci System<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Muskegon Surgical Associates, robot-assisted surgery is performed using the da Vinci Surgical System, the most widely used FDA-approved clinical robotic surgical system in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The da Vinci System features tiny instruments that require just a few small incisions. The instruments are attached to arms that can bend and rotate far more than the human hand, along with a camera and computer console that provide the surgeon with a magnified, three-dimensional, high-definition view of the surgical site inside the patient\u2019s body.
